An important substrate material is 'Float A'. The optical constants of 'Float A' have been determined from R and T measurements using spectrometer S1. The DirectDF tool has been used. The dielectric function is this:

As described above, an extrapolation of the optical constants of Float A to the far infrared has been done, making use of far infrared glass data of the original CODE database. The optical constants are computed in the range 200 to 50000 1/cm:
